A dominant pitching performance in Game 1 followed by a comeback win in Game 2 made for a good day for the OKWU softball team as they grabbed two wins on Monday against Crowley's Ridge.

Game 1 Recap:

• The story of this game was the performance of freshman pitcher Maddy Wiese. In 5 innings of work she struck out 12 of the 15 batters she faced and pitched a Perfect Game for the Lady Eagles. She did damage at the plate as well, with a hit, a walk, a run, and an RBI in two plate appearances.
• Sofia Cardenas was productive at the plate as well for the Lady Eagles, going 3-3 with an RBI.
• Ryleigh Clinton drove in two runs.
• The Lady Eagles scored 3 runs in the 1^st and 3 runs in the 3^rd as Wiese's pitching performance propelled them to an 8-0 shutout win in 5 innings.

Game 2 Recap:

• The Lady Eagles had to sweat a little in Game 2. Things started off nicely in the first when Tahlor Stefek knocked in two runs with a double. The Eagles would hold the 2-0 lead until the 4^th inning when Crowley's Ridge put 3 runs on the board.
• In the bottom of the 6^th, OKWU took the lead back. Bailey Zornes' sacrifice fly brought in a run, and Maddy Wiese would later score on a passed ball to give the Lady Eagles a 4-3 lead.
• Maddy Wiese pitched the final inning for OKWU, allowed no hits and securing the win.

• The Lady Eagles are set to travel to Oklahoma City this weekend for the Red Dirt Classic.
