Box Score Bartlesville, OK - #9 Women's Soccer faced off against the Friends University Lady Falcons for a top conference match up on October 5th, here in Bartlesville. Both teams entering the match with 0 losses in conference, both showed up willing to fight for a title.
Coming off a 7-1 win over the Sterling College Warriors, the Lady Eagles were strong throguht the first half, keeping the Lady Falcons off the board. Scoreless throughout the first 45 minutes, both teams entered the second half with drive, speeding up every touch possible.
Entering the final half scoreless, the Lady Eagles put together a scoring run off of a corner kick from Tania Mocholi, followed by a goal from Martina Cordova. Assisting Cordova, Elise Lofnertz showed part in the goal, as well as being superb in her defensive abilities throughout the 90 minutes of play.
Taking the lead, the Lady Eagles were strong; but the Lady Falcons were able to match their goal 13 minutes later with a goal from Hanon Nakagami; bring the match to a 1-1 score. Fighting till the final second, both teams called a draw in the match, giving both teams a tie in the score column.
