Box Score Wichita, KS –
The #19 Women's Soccer team was in Wichita, Kansas on November 8th for the KCAC Tournament Semi-Final against the Ottawa University Braves. Heading into the match-up as the #1 seed, the Lady Eagles looked to defeat the #4 seeded Lady Braves just as they did in regular season with a 3-0 win.
Starting off the game red hot, the Lady Eagles were fouled in the box in just the 2nd minute of play; resulting in a Lady Eagles penalty kick off the foot of Tania Mocholi. Giving the Lady Eagles a 1-0 lead, they entered the second half with a tight lead, looking to extend it in any way possible.
Doing just that, the Lady Eagles put together a scoring drive, Lin Joelsson giving Tania Mocholi a strong pass up midfield, allowing Mocholi to take control of the game and score her second goal of the game. The Lady Eagles were not done yet, scoring one last goal of the game in the 82nd minute of play, making it a 3-0 game in favor of the Lady Eagles. Scoring the 3rd goal, Laura Gieseler worked her way up the field with another superb pass from Linn Joelsson.
The Lady Eagles were dominant on both sides of the field against the Lady Braves. Taking 18 shots with 9 of those on goal, the Lady Eagles were a force offensively. Offensively strong, defensively unstoppable as the Lady Eagles held the Lady Braves to only one single shot that was taken with only 19 seconds left on the clock.
