Tennis Honors Senior Martin-Dardaine

Men's & Women's Tennis

Bartlesville, OK –

For the last home match of the year, the Eagles hosted Bethany College this past Saturday afternoon at 1 PM at the Bartlesville High School tennis courts. Before the beginning of the match, OKWU Tennis honored the only senior of the roster, Clément Martin-Dardaine.

From Jaunay-Marigny, France, Clément Martin-Dardaine played for the Eagles for three years and was a part of the first team coached by Julia Mongin since she's joined OKWU. During her speech, Coach Mongin expressed her gratitude and happiness to have Clément in her roster for the past three years, recognizing his achievements in both the classroom and on the court.

(W) – After the Senior Ceremony, the Lady Eagles started strong by picking up a pair of wins at #1 & #2 doubles. Moving on to singles up 1-0 on the scoreboard, the Eagles were looking to picking three victories to secure another home win this season. After picking up two close wins at #1 & #2 singles and falling short at #3, the Lady Eagles secured a victory at #4 singles to secure the win over the Swedes to improve their KCAC record to 4-6.

(M) – After losing the doubles point, the Eagles needed to pick up four victories in four singles to imitate the Women's team and secure a second home victory in a row. Picking up a quick win at #2 singles, the Eagles started to increase their hope in their chances to win. After two close battles on court 1 & 3, the Eagles secured two extra victories to tie the match up at 3-3. Unfortunately, the Eagles fell short at #4 and the Swedes picked up their first conference victory of the year.
