The Oklahoma Wesleyan Lady Eagles are set to host the NAIA National Championship Opening Round after an extraordinary season that saw them finish with an outstanding 18-1-2 overall record. Their dominance earned them both the KCAC Regular Season Championship and the KCAC Tournament Championship, solidifying their place among the nation's elite programs.
Under the leadership of Head Coach Ivan Ristic, who was named KCAC Women's Soccer Coach of the Year for the sixth consecutive season and behind him is a great supporting coaching staff with Luka Milicevic, Cristobal Goldberg, and Deniz Ilkkan Sahin. The Lady Eagles have combined talent, discipline, and resilience to achieve remarkable success.
Their Undefeated regular season and postseason run was fueled by a roster stacked with award-winning players. Nine Lady Eagles earned First Team All-KCAC honors:
Laura Gieseler – KCAC Most Valuable Player and Offensive Player of the Year.
Kylie Reif, Wendy Jimenez, Linn Joelsson, Isabelle Simoneau, Ana Chavez, Tessa Edwards.
Elise Lofnertz – KCAC Defensive Player of the Year two years running.
Alessandra Martinez – KCAC Goalkeeper of the Year.
With a near-perfect record and a lineup brimming with individual accolades, Oklahoma Wesleyan enters the NAIA Opening Round with confidence and high expectations. They are top seated in the opening round which gives them a buy to the final matchup in this round. Hosting the match on their home turf gives the Lady Eagles a prime opportunity to showcase their championship pedigree and continue their pursuit of a national title.
