Game 1: Oklahoma Wesleyan Lady Eagles Defeats York in a 3-1 Solid Team Effort
In a tightly contested game on Saturday afternoon, Oklahoma Wesleyan emerged victorious with a 3-1 win over York College, thanks to a blend of strong pitching, solid defense, and timely baserunning. The Eagles showcased resilience throughout the game, taking advantage of York's defensive errors to secure the win.
Maddy Wiese got the start and delivered a great performance, keeping York's offense at bay. Her efforts were crucial in limiting York to just one earned run. Wiese's composure and ability to control the strike zone were key factors in her earning the win. Relief pitcher
Gabby Simpson came in to close the door on York's late rally. Simpson's quick work and strikeout stuff allowed Oklahoma Wesleyan to finish off the game without letting up any additional runs, showing the depth of their pitching staff.
The Eagles capitalized on York's mistakes, which was the difference in the game.
Destiny Tune, who went 1-for-3 with a run scored, also showcased her speed, swiping two bags. Withem added a key hit and steal, while Purtell and Wiese each notched base hits as well. While the offense was quiet, the Eagles did just enough to manufacture runs and give their pitchers the support they needed to seal the win.
Game 2: Oklahoma Wesleyan Lady Eagles Dominates York in a 10-2 Victory
On the mound for Oklahoma Wesleyan,
Teri Stanton, was in control from the start. Stanton, who earned her first win of the season, was efficient, limiting York to just two runs on three hits and striking out two batters. She kept the York batters off balance with a mix of pitches, allowing her defense to do the work behind her.

The Eagles amassed 11 hits and scored in nearly every inning, capitalizing on York's defensive mistakes and continuing their aggressive base running. In the fourth inning, Oklahoma Wesleyan broke the game open, scoring 8 runs in a dominant offensive display. The inning was highlighted by timely hits, including a couple of doubles from Purtell and Wiese. York's defense struggled during the inning, committing crucial errors that allowed the Eagles to tack on more runs than initially anticipated.
The Lady Eagles were led by
Alyssa Olivas, who went 2-for-2 with 2 RBIs and a stolen base, providing a consistent spark at the top of the lineup.
