Alessandra Martinez Named KCAC Women's Soccer Defender of the Week

Oklahoma Wesleyan University is proud to recognize goalkeeper Alessandra Martinez as the KCAC Women's Soccer Defender of the Week, following a standout performance that helped keep the Lady Eagles competitive against one of the nation's top programs. 

Martinez, a steady presence in goal, rose to the challenge versus the No. 3-ranked team in the nation, making five saves on six shots on goal to anchor OKWU's back line. Her composure and reflexes under pressure frustrated opposing attackers and gave her team a fighting chance in one of its toughest tests of the season. 

With her five-save effort, Martinez continues to establish herself as one of the KCAC's premier goalkeepers this fall. Her recognition by the conference reflects not only her shot-stopping ability but also her leadership and consistency as the Lady Eagles look to build momentum heading deeper into the season.
