Oklahoma Wesleyan's Brooklyn Purtell has been named KCAC Player of the Week following a standout offensive performance across four games. Purtell finished the week hitting .615 (8-for-13) while driving in 13 RBIs and adding two home runs, playing a key role in the Lady Eagles' success.
Purtell opened the week with a dominant showing in a doubleheader sweep over Southwestern, where Oklahoma Wesleyan won 10-0 and 11-0. In game one, she went a perfect 3-for-3 at the plate, scoring three runs and driving in four RBIs. She followed that with another strong performance in game two, going 2-for-3 with one run scored and four RBIs, continuing to produce in nearly every at-bat.
She carried that momentum into the series against Sterling. In the first game, Purtell recorded one RBI in three at-bats while continuing to put the ball in play. She closed out the week with another big performance in game two, going 3-for-4 with one run scored and four RBIs, once again leading the offensive effort for the Lady Eagles.
Purtell's consistency and ability to drive in runs in key moments made her one of the most impactful players in the conference this week. Her performance helped power Oklahoma Wesleyan through a strong stretch of games and earned her KCAC Player of the Week honors.
